Feeling Good and Seeing A Difference

I know it’s not just the stomach vacuuming that’s making me look and feel better. At first people said these are a waste of time and do nothing. Some said they will drop inches off your waist line. It’s really hard to track exactly how much you are losing because of stomach vacuuming. One thing I know for sure is the fact that you are more aware. When you go to do other exercises you focus on your core a lot more. For some this is already easy for them but and they are like a needle in a haystack.

As of right now if I were to end the Stomach Vacuuming Challenge today what would my overall rating be? If it ended today I would say that stomach vacuuming exercises performed correctly do in fact help your core and trim you down in the waistline. I think these should be done every time you do your core workout. Just add them in like you add in calf raises on leg days. If you need help learning how to do these correctly, please message me on Facebook and I would be happy to help.

What’s Going On With YouFit and My Boot Camps?

Some of you might not know this but, I decided to go back to YouFit and help create a community and a fun environment. I was really excited and started to meet some great people. Then last week Management got on my case about my black athletic shorts. Apparently the dress code changed since I was a trainer before. Now all trainers (male trainers not female) have to wear black slacks with a belt or black khaki material type black shorts with a belt (no basketball shorts or workout shorts). When this was brought to my attention at the end of my first 2 weeks of training people I thought they were kidding. NOPE, they were dead serious.

I can’t train people successfully in slacks!  I am all over the place sweating like crazy and that new dress code is not breathable at all! It makes no sense to me that they have this dress code in place for men but yet woman can wear yoga pants. Hmmm this seems a little strange and I’m not the only one! Below is the Facebook post I did and the comments people had to share.

So clearly here you can see that the fitness population thinks it’s ridiculous for trainers to wear nothing but athletic wear. In fact when you look at every other gym in the United States no gym has trainers wear freaking slacks with a belt.

For this reason I will no longer be working with YouFit as a Personal Trainer, my boot camp classes or any promotions. I feel that my style works and makes people feel comfortable. If I were to wear these slacks then I would no longer be able to train the way I do. It would be uncomfortable, sweaty and I would end up smelling so bad that myself and my clients would be uncomfortable.

What I Suggest You Do YouFit

Not that anybody in YouFit corporate will actually listen, most people in this industry are never wrong and know everything already HA! First off, you female trainers should have to wear slacks also. Singling out men is wrong.

You should make the trainers stand out. Design all new uniforms for them. If they blend in then it will be hard for members to notice them. Right now they look like idiots with the uniforms you all have them wear.

If your trainers are happy and comfortable they will out perform any unhappy trainer. Take care of your people and listen to them when they have suggestions.

For those of you that are clients and we trained a few times I want to apologize that once again you got let down. Just know that these things are happening because of an unhappy work environment. What would you do if you were in this situation? Most likely we are connected on social media and I will stay in contact and I hope you continue down this fitness journey. Please reach out anytime!

What’s The Plan?

I will continue down the fitness path and in the works of something amazing. So if you are looking for a trainer and wanting to get in shape, you will want to reach out!
